This key explains how to interpret the following
index on baptism for the Chubut Colony. The information was obtained from
the local museum in Gaiman in Chubut. There are no centralised civil registration
for baptisms - records are kept individually by each church. Although there
may be other records for baptisms for the various churches around the valley,
only these have been recorded on this index. Many records have been lost
or destroyed through floods.
